Pete Rose holds MLB's all-time hits record with career 4,256 knocks. His momentous 4,000th hit came on April 13, 1984, the year he used this offered glove. Made of dark blue tanned steer hide with dark blue tanned laces, Rose’s Mizuno GO15 professional model fielder’s glove shows heavy game use throughout the pocket area, face of the webbing and the body. The wrist strap label is heavily frayed and scuffed. Perspiration staining is present on the wrist strap and interior finger pockets.

This glove is a notch above a standard Pete Rose gamer due to the inscription found on the inside of the pinky finger. Pete has signed his name there with “Hit 4000th" inscribed. Though that inscription from Rose may suggest otherwise, this glove was not worn during his historic 4,000th hit game. It was, however, worn during that same 1984 season. Regardless, this is an incredibly unique piece worn by Rose as he neared Ty Cobb’s legendary career hits record. The glove comes with a letter from Dennis Esken and John Taube of PSA/DNA (1G00696) for the game use and an LOA from JSA (BB80401) for the signature and inscription.
