Pitchers' bats are a hot commodity among esteemed lumber collectors primarily due to the fact that they don't hit very much, making their bats rather scarce. Hall of Famer Tom Seaver earned the nickname “Tom Terrific” as an ace on the mound, but he also had some pop at the plate, hitting 12 homers in his career. Remembered mostly as a New York Met, he was a huge contributor to the club's "miracle" 1969 World Series title. After 5+ years with the Reds, Seaver eventually found his way back to the Mets for the '83 season late in his career when he swung this offered bat. The Louisville Slugger Tom Seaver professional model R43 bat exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a crack in the upper handle and sliver missing from the crack. Numerous ball marks are visible on the left and back barrel. Blue bat rack streaks can be seen on the knob, handle and barrel. Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with a GU 7.5 grade.
