Michael Jordan’s final season of college basketball at the University of North Carolina was the 1983-84 campaign. The top-ranked Tar Heels finished the regular season a perfect 14-0 in the ACC and were seeded No. 1 in the NCAA Tournament’s East Regionals. However, their season ended in disappointment with a 72-68 loss to No. 4 seeded Indiana in the semi-finals of the East Regionals. Jordan, a junior, was then selected third overall in that June’s NBA Draft. This lot includes a two-color (Carolina blue and white) official Spalding basketball that’s been signed by all thirteen players from the 1983-84 squad (plus three others), including Michael Jordan, Sam Perkins (All_America First Team), Brad Daugherty, Kenny "The Jet" Smith, Joe Wolf, Matt Doherty, Steve Hale, Buzz Peterson, Dave Popson, Cecil Exim, Cliff Morris, Timo Makkonen, and Curtis Hunter. The first ten were drafted by NBA teams, with the first five chosen in the first round. Black sharpie signatures average 8/10 with Jordan a 7.5/10. The ball is rock hard, having solidified from being filled with some sort of chemical compound, and shows some cracks. Jordan's signature is unaffected and displays without distraction.
