A 10-time NBA All-Star, Clyde Drexler won an Olympic gold medal in 1992 as a member of the original Dream Team and he won his only NBA championship ring in 1995 with the Houston Rockets. But it was with the Portland Trailblazers that he built the resume that put him on the NBA's 50 Greatest Players list and into the Naismith Hall of Fame. "Clyde the Glide" averaged 20.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.7 assists over his 12 seasons in Portland, leading them to the NBA Finals in 1990 and 1992. Offered here is Drexler's 1983-84 game-worn Trail Blazers road warm-up suit from his rookie season, fresh out of University of Houston's storied "Phi Slama Jama" squad where he starred alongside Olajuwon. The Glide averaged 7.7 points in 17 minutes per game as a rookie before busting out the following year with 17.2 ppg to take over as Portland's starting off-guard.

The black short-sleeved, snap-button collared jacket has large red and white Blazer-themed stripes slanted on the front. Medalist Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tagging with size "42" is found inside the front tail along the inner bottom two buttons, with a distributor strip tag reading "Willamette Athletic - Portland, Oregon" adjacent. On the right chest is a large NBA embroidered logo patch matching those of early 1980's warm-ups with the Trailblazers large team crest sewn on the left chest. On the right front tail is Drexler's player number "22" sewn on in white tackle twill. On the back is “portland” in red-on-black tackle twill sewn directly onto the 100% nylon fabric. Lettering, numbering and patches are all-original.

The matching button-snap black pants with Blazer-themed piping are also tagged by Sand-Knit with a size “34” manufacturer’s tag inside the rear waistband alongside the distributor’s tag. On the inseam is a materials tag with washing instructions. The player number “22” is sewn in white tackle twill on the right thigh. The full warm-up suite displays light to moderate wear overall. At the 1984 NBA All-Star Weekend, Drexler was invited to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest and is pictured wearing what could very well be this very warm-up in a group photo (Getty 73977828 and 73977829). Awesome rookie warm-up gamer from one of the NBA's greatest two-guards of his era.
