1982 San Diego Chargers road jersey game-worn by running back Ricky Bell. After finishing as the runner-up in the 1976 Heisman while at USC, Bell was chosen with the 1st overall pick in the 1977 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He rushed for 1,263 yards in 1979 leading the Bucs to their first playoff win in franchise history. 1982 was his last season in the NFL, as a rare tissue disease forced him into early retirement at the age of 27 and took his life two years later.

The white nylon mesh jersey (no brand tagging present) has "BELL" in blue on the back and his #42 on the front, back and sleeves in blue with yellow outline. The Chargers lightning bolt logo adorn sleeves. All letters, numbers and logos are screen-printed. Jersey exhibits excellent wear, with numerous team repairs (V-neck collar, both shoulders) and what appears to be a blood stain on the front next to the '2'. Great early 80's gamer.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
