During the decade of the 1980’s, the Los Angeles Lakers – led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson – battled their way to eight NBA Finals and won six league titles. During the 1982-83 season, the Lakers won the Pacific Division crown with a 54-28 regular-season record before beating in succession the Portland Trail Blazers (4-1) and San Antonio Spurs (4-2) to win the Western Conference title. In the NBA Finals, however, Los Angeles bowed to the Philadelphia 76ers and Julius Erving in four straight games.
This lot features a team-signed Los Angeles Lakers-branded Voit basketball that boasts 11 player signatures from that season’s team, all in black marker. Top autographs include Abdul-Jabbar, Johnson, James Worthy, Michael Cooper, Norm Nixon, Jamaal Wilkes and Kurt Rambis.
