Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Clarke was the straw that stirred the ice in Philly for the hard-hitting Flyers. He played for the team from 1970 through 1984 and captained the club to back-to-back Stanley
Cup titles in 1974 and ‘75. The three-time Hart Trophy winner as the league's MVP was also a seven-time All-Star selection who won the Selke Trophy as the top defensive forward in his second-to-last season (1982-83).
This lot features one of Clarke’s game-worn jerseys from his Selke-winning season of 1982-83. This late-career exemplar white jersey shows light use, with the Flyers' classic team logo patch across the chest. Proper
Sandow manufacturer’s tagging appears on the inside rear collar. Two-color, white
on black tackle twill numerals “16” have been affixed to the sleeves and a larger version in orange tackle twill outlined in black on the verso, with "Clarke" in the proper black tackle twill font on the rear mesh nameplate
sewn right into the jersey. His Captain’s “C” appears on the upper left chest in white tackle twill outlined in black. A great piece of game-worn memorabilia from one of hockey’s greatest performers in history.
