The 1981 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction ceremony in Cooperstown had a St. Louis Cardinals theme, as the inductees included long-time Cards pitching ace Bob Gibson and slugger Johnny Mize. Mize broke into the big leagues with the Redbirds and played his first five seasons in St. Louis, before additional stardom with the Giants and Yankees.

Both Gibson and Mize have signed this sturdy pewter plate in bold blue Sharpie, complete with JSA authentication.

This fantastic collector’s item contains Gibson and Mize’s full names, positions, and career dates engraved in black, as well as fellow inductee Andrew “Rube” Foster, a legendary Negro Leagues player, manager and executive.

Note that Foster has not signed the plate, as he passed away in 1930. Mize passed away in 1993, and we lost Gibson in 2020.
