This pair of home and road AHL Binghamton Whalers jerseys were worn by left wingers Bob Sullivan and Mike Hoffman during the 1981-87 period. Sullivan logged 62 games for the NHL's Hartford Whalers in 1982-83. Hoffman also played for Hartford in a handful of games over three different seasons.
The white mesh home jersey donned by No. 26 Bob Sullivan (circa 1981-84) has the Whalers logo on the front in green and blue tackle twill. Green, white and blue stripes trim the arms, shoulders and waist and green, white and blue ribbing trims the collar. A Good Sports label is sewn inside the collar with size “52” and “80” hang tags affixed. The left and right sleeves have number “26” and a Whales logo in green and blue tackle twill. The back has the number “26” in green and blue tackle twill. A cloth fight strap is sewn to the interior. The jersey shows heavy game use with a clubhouse alteration to the collar along with many abrasion stains and scuffs throughout and the tackle twill graphics show puckering and loose threads.
