On February 3, 1980, two stellar rookies took the stage at the NBA All Star Game in Landover, Maryland: Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. Magic finished his first All-Star appearance with 12 points and 4 assists, while Bird had 7 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Bird also made history, hitting the first 3-pointer in All-Star Game history in overtime. The East prevailed over the West 144-136 at the conclusion of that overtime period. Offered here is a full ticket from that game graded NM 7 by PSA, and is the highest-graded example in PSA's consensus population report.
