Offered here is a boxed set of a lovely gold pocket watch and knife pocket commemorating the famous 1980 U.S. Hockey "Miracle On Ice" Olympic gold medal winning team at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games. These Colibri boxed sets were presented to members of the team (players, coaches & staff) at a special event in Eveleth, Minn., in the summer of 1980 following their unforgettable gold medal run.

The gorgeous watch made by Roventa-Henex of Bienne, Switzerland, is labeled on the face with the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics logo along with "XII OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES Gold Medal Winner." It works great and snaps opens with the push of the side click button attached to the hand adjuster. A foot-long chain attaches the watch to a simple, yet elegant pocket knife with two size options. Housed inside a wooden presentation box with "Colibri", "Quartz" and "Swiss" stamped on the upper velvet lining, the watch and knife fit snug in cut-out compartments. According to previous listings, which are very few in fact, the gold content tests to 10 karat.

The recipient is unknown although "C. H." is engraved on the outside of the box. The consignor has included a copy of a notarized letter from the Executive Director of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame verifying authenticity.
