Here's yet another key piece in the fabled career of Steve Garvey: a 1979 Dodgers game-worn road jersey from a season that typified the uber consistent production of the first sacker. He topped the 200-hit plateau for the fifth time in six seasons, socked 28 home runs and knocked in 110, while batting a robust .315. It would not be an exaggeration to suggest that was a fairly typical campaign for the 10-time All-Star during that period when the club enjoyed its greatest resurgence since the magical days of Koufax, Drysdale, Wills, & Co. The road flannel is in superior condition, with Mizuno tag on the collar revealing some wear to the printing and slight fraying of white stitching on a shirt that shows good game use. It is largely as-issued and problem-free, betraying only slight fraying of some of the blue stitching on the back. A blue Sharpie Steve Garvey autograph is rather severely faded from the front section beneath his No. 6.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from SCP Auctions.
