After starring at Illinois State, Doug Collins help win a Gold Medal for the USA at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. 1973s first round draft pick was a 3-time NBA All-Star during his nine year career with Philadelphia, during which he wore this 76ers jersey. The home white mesh jersey has “SIXERS” and Collins’ number “20” on the front in blue and red tackle twill. Red, white and blue ribbing rings the neck and arm openings. The back has “COLLINS” in individual blue tackle twill letters and his number “20” in blue and red tackle twill. The jersey shows heavy game use with toning throughout and staining on the left rear below the number “2”. A very small tear in the mesh is found on the lower right side tail. There are loose threads throughout and repairs to the tackle twill stitching on the back. A great Sixers gamer worn during Collins’ last seasons in the pros.
