From 6-7 forward Harry Davis of the Cleveland Cavaliers comes this
old school 1978-79 road gamer that shows adequate wear but remains in
outstanding condition despite the passage of nearly four decades. Davis
was drafted by the Cavs in 1978 No. 33 overall out of Florida State and
spent only his rookie season in Cleveland. After a brief stint with the San Antonio Spurs the following season, he embarked on a six-year
run in the CBA.
The road shirt in Cavs wine comes in fine-mesh, with "Cavaliers" across the front
in gold-on-white tackle twill and Davis' No. 40 in
the same fashion front and back. His name appears in gold tackle twill affixed directly across the
back. White
and gold elastic panels adorn the sides, collar and yokes. The
appropriate dual Sand-Knit Size 46 tagging appears at the front of the
tail. The shirt has a bit of fraying of the white and gold, some light
puckering of his number on the back and a bit more fraying of the gold
stitching on his NOB. Nice early Cavs gamer in a rare and popular style.
