Featured here is running back Charles White's USC game-worn and signed home jersey circa 1978-79. White was a consensus All-America selection and Pac-10 Player of the Year in 1978 before taking home the Heisman Trophy and just about every other college player of the year award in 1979. Each year was capped by an MVP performance in the Rose Bowl. He rushed for 2,050 yards with 19 TDs as a senior in '79 before moving on to the NFL. The red nylon mesh Rawlings jersey (size 44) has red and yellow striped sleeves and White's No. 12 screen-printed front and back in yellow. It is absolutely thrashed. Both sleeves are ripped from the armpit to the end, breaking apart what looks to be unsuccessful team repairs. There are four other team repairs - two on the right sleeve, one on the front '1' and one on the back '1'. The Rawlings Size 44 tagging on the right shirttail, with five buttons on the bottom where the crotch flap would be attached (in this case it's missing). White has signed the front '2' in 7/10 blue pen with the inscription "79 Heisman." You won't find a better example of a Charles White USC gamer in the hobby, period! Style-matching photo showing the slit-cut sleeves is attached.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
