The New York Yankees’ 1977 World Series triumph was their 21st overall and first since 1962. The season and all of the drama that came with it, was captured in the book, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Bronx is Burning, which turned into a TV drama-documentary in 2007. Hall of Fame slugger Reggie Jackson began his four-year tenure with the team, a rollercoaster ride of strained relationships with the media, teammates and management. The Yanks took home the AL East with a record of 100-62, finishing 2.5 games ahead of the Orioles, then beat the Royals in the ALCS to set the stage for a thrilling Fall Classic against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Reggie earned his nickname "Mr. October" by blasting three home runs in the deciding Game 6.

This '77 team signed OAL (MacPhail) baseball is a wonderful collection piece honoring a legendary Yankees season. It holds 21 authentic signatures (no clubhouse) including Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson on the label and manager Billy Martin on the sweet spot, along with Ron Guidry, Graig Nettles, Elston Howard, Lou Piniella, Sparky Lyle, Chris Chambliss, Roy White, Willie Randolph, Elrod Hendricks, Blair, Figueroa, Gullett, Holtzman, Howser, May, Perez, Stanley, Wynn and Zeber. Off-white ball has light to moderate toning (EX) and blue penned autographs average a strong 7/10 in our book. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG02520).
