Game 1 at "Riverfront Stadium" in Cincinnati (Reds 5, Yankees 1) , Game 3 at "Yankee Stadium" in New York (Yankees 2, Reds 6). With the countries Bi-Centennial in full swing the 1976 fall classic matched the defending world champions Cincinnati Reds and the New York Yankees. The Reds would go on to sweep the series winning back to back championships.
