The late, great Joe Morgan was the key catalyst of the Big Red Machine during the 1970s, leading the Cincinnati Reds to back-to-back World Series titles in 1975 and '76. "The Little General" was named National League MVP in both of those seasons, and this offered H&B Louisville Slugger 'S44' professional model bat was one of his wooden weapons of choice during that latter campaign in which Major League Baseball celebrated its 100th anniversary.
The beautiful ash bat remains un-cracked with several ball marks and ball stitch impressions on all sides of the barrels. The special bicentennial logo has been branded between Morgan's player name on the barrel and the Louisville Slugger logo. There are red bat rack streaks and a few inches of light pine tar coating on the handle. Both the knob and barrel ends are marked with "8" denoting his jersey number, which has been retired by the Reds. One of the finer Joe Morgan exemplars you will find. Includes letter from PSA/DNA with GU 9 grade (Cert. #1B14644).
