This ABC Sports banner dates to 1976 when ABC was the official broadcast network of both the Winter and Summer Olympic Games. The red and white cloth banner measures 47” tall by 69” wide and features the Innsbruck Winter Games and Montreal Summer Games logos. The perimeter is lined with metal grommets every 10-12” to allow for raised display. There’s some minor fading typical of outdoor wear and aging, but the colors are still quite strong and it presents very nicely. This banner is a rarity as we have yet to find another example sold at public auction. According to consignor, the original source is a retired ABC executive from New York.
