The “Juice” is indeed loose, once again. The first man to rush for more than 2,000 yards in an NFL season is now a free man. O.J. Simpson, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985, accumulated a total of 11,236 rushing yards over the course of his nine-year career, all with the Buffalo Bills. Offered here is Simpson’s 1976-77 game-used Buffalo Bills home jersey, a pair of season in which he rushed for a combined 2,060 yards. The blue mesh jersey shows light use with some soiling near the collar and includes Simpson’s iconic number “32” is applied via applique on the front, back and both shoulders in white with red painted borders. Across the back of the shoulders it reads “SIMPSON” in white painted letters on a blue mesh nameplate sewn directly onto the jersey. On the left front tail it shows the proper “SAND-KNIT” distributor's tag that reads “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BUFFALO BILLS AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE” and below that is a separate SAND-KNIT “Large” manufacturer’s tag complete with washing instructions. Due to its light wear, the jersey received a grade of MEARS A6.

Includes MEARS LOA and 5x7 color photo of original owner who got it from Simpson many years ago.
