After his early tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks, a stint that included the first of his six NBA titles, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would return to Southern California where he had been the centerpiece of a three-time NCAA Champion UCLA Bruins team that managed to lose but a pair of games in his three varsity seasons. The native New Yorker’s alliance with fellow Hall of Famer Magic Johnson would spell five NBA titles in the 1980's for the Lakers and seal the team's place in history as the most dominant of the decade. This wonderful jersey dates to those early years of the 1980's when "Showtime" became the order of the day at The Fabulous Forum. This sparkling home jersey nicely complements that glamorous era, boasting a blazing yellow mesh body and vividly contrasting purple-and-white tackle-twill numbers and letters and knitted purple and white trim on the sleeves and collar. The "33" numerals front and back, "Lakers" script and "Abdul-Jabbar" lettering display game use, light puckering and minimal fraying of the delicate stitching. The shirt carries the appropriate Tiernan of Glendale, Calif., tagging on the bottom of the front tail; the shirt is nothing short of spectacular with ideal usage traits and a flawless state of preservation.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from MEARS (A10).
