The most famous horse of all-time, Secretariat, is shown grazing outside of the stables just days before his historic Triple Crown triumph at the Belmont Stakes in Belmont, New York. A crisp 8" x 10" image with some very mild edge ware. The reverse has a UPI caption dated 5/30/73 that reads in part, "THIS HORSE DEFINITELY IS NOT OUT TO PASTURE" and "THE COLT MAKES ITS BIG RUN AT THE TRIPLE CROW IN THE BELMONT ON JUNE 9." The classic shot of Big Red is stamped and dated by United Press International and comes nicely encapsulated as a Type I by PSA/DNA.
