This publicity shot of Bruce Lee reveals the martial arts master in the character of Chen Zhen from 1972’s “Fists of Fury.” Lee was also the film’s action choreographer, demonstrating the actor’s versatility and complete mastery of his profession. “Fists of Fury” was originally named “The Chinese Connection,” but the title was changed due to “The French Connection” being in theaters at the same time. This alternate name is referenced on the caption found on the back of the photo. “Fists of Fury” made 1,000 times its budget in profits and propelled Bruce Lee and introduced the martial arts movie genre to millions of new fans. The Type 1 photo has slightly rounded corners and a nice sepia patina to the image. The back has some pencil notations as well as the printed studio caption. The photo has been encapsulated as Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
