Earle Combs was a key member of the 1927 Yankees "Murderer’s Row" and one of the top hitters of his era, finishing his career with a .325 lifetime average. Single signed Earle Combs baseballs are quite rare and highly prized by collectors, with this being a particularly outstanding example. Beginning with a 7/10 sweet spot autograph Combs inscriptions spread out to various panels with a dated personalization, the statement "Elected to Baseball Hall of Fame Feb 1, 1970," and an accounting of his full term of playing and coaching service: "New York Yankees 1924-1943." The ball is an "Official League" model with only mild toning that does little to affect the excellent overall eye appeal. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG01402).
