Al Downing of the Los Angeles Dodgers is most famous for giving up Hank Aaron's 715th home run which broke Babe Ruth's record for most home runs hit in a career. Despite that piece of MLB history Downing actually compiled a record of 123-107 with a 3.22 ERA and over 1600 strikeouts during his career. We offer in this lot an original Al Downing game worn jersey and signed jacket. The manufacturers tag (Goodman and Sons) inside the neckline shows a size 42 with a tag at the bottom showing P'74 which maybe consistent with the year. Downing signs the jersey in a blue sharpie and the Los Angeles Dodgers bull pen jacket in silver sharpie with the #44 below his name. The jacket also shows a Goodman and Sons manufacturers tag size 42 with the #44 and '74 written in marker in the neckline.
