The 1970 Minnesota Twins, playing their home games at Metropolitan Stadium, won the A.L. West title with a record of 98-64, finishing nine games ahead of the runner-up Oakland A’s. They were then swept by the eventual World Series Champion Baltimore Orioles in the ALCS, three games to none. This lot includes a team-signed “Minnesota Twins” branded baseball from that season that includes 31 signatures in black ink including Manager Bill Rigney on the sweet spot. Other notable autographs on this ball include Harmon Killebrew, Rod Carew, Tony Oliva, Jim Perry, Jim Kaat, Luis Tiant and Minnie Mendoza. The signatures are all solid and rate 8-9/10. A terrific keepsake for any loyal Twins fan and historian!
