Willie Davis was considered by many to be one of the fastest players in the big leagues in the 1960s. He made his debut with the Dodgers in 1961 and played with the team through 1973. During his time there, he was an offensive force. In 1969, he hit in a team-record 31 consecutive games. After a long stint with L.A., he went on to play for the Expos, the Rangers, the Cardinals, the Padres, and the Angels, as well as two other teams in Japan. During his 18 Major League seasons, he batted .279 with 2,561 hits and 398 stolen bases.

Presented here is Davis’ H&B professional model K55 bat from the 1969-72 labeling period. The 35 inch, 32.75 ounce bat shows tremendous use with a handle crack. Many ball marks are visible on the right, left and back barrel in addition to red and blue ink transfers. Cleat marks appear on the barrel and a light coat of pine tar is visible on the handle. Willie’s number “3” is written on the knob and top of the barrel in black marker. Davis has signed the barrel in blue marker with the notation "L.A. Dodgers."

Includes a LOA from Vince Malta and John Taube of PSA/DNA.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
