Hall of Famer Johnny Bench shared his Topps rookie card with teammate Ron Tompkins. 1968 would be Tompkins’ only year with Cincinnati, but Johnny Bench would go one to redefine how the position of catcher is played while winning two world Championships with the Reds. With the card a PSA NM-MT 8 and a PSA/DNA 10 autograph, this example of Johnny Bench’s debut Topps card is extraordinary. The printed borders, which are often damaged through handling and age, are complete with sharp corners on this example. Bench has signed his portion of the dual player “Reds Rookie Stars” card in brilliant blue pen. This high grade card-autograph combo is one of 10 known to exist with none graded higher, and of those only 2 or 3 have a 10 autograph grade.
1968 Topps #247 Johnny Bench Autographed Rookie – PSA NM-MT 8, PSA/DNA 10 Auto. (Highest Dual-Graded Bench Signed RC!)
