This recently discovered 1968 Topps 3D Prototype card depicts Tucker Frederickson, the #1 pick in the 1965 Pro Football Draft by the New York Giants. Measuring 2 3/8" by 3 5/8", the card is just a shade larger than the Topps 3-D baseball issue, bearing a bit of an angle cut at the bottom. This prototype would warrant a NM-MT or better technical grade but for a slight indentation at the top border, as it was found inside an envelope with a paper clip attaching it to the 3 other 3D Topps Baseball cards offered in this Auction. On the back is stamped "This is an experimental XOGRAPH card produced as a limited edition. Not for public circulation or distribution. Not for resale. To be returned to: Visual Panographics, Inc. 488 Madison Ave. New York, New York" in black. Card is super clean and blemish free. Corners are all NM-MT/MINT or better. This never before seen or heard of 3D test card was rescued from destruction along with the 3 other known Topps Test 3D cards offered in this auction by our consignor while cleaning out desks that had long ago been in the Xograph company offices. Card has been slabbed AUTHENTIC by SGC.
