The 1968 MLB All-Star Game was played in Houston, Texas at the Astrodome on July 9th, 1968. The National League ended up victorious in a 1-0 win over the American League. It was the first All Star game played without an RBI.  Notable N.L. players include Willie Mays, Johnny Bench, Hank Aaron, Don Drysdale and Willie McCovey. Notable A.L. players include Carl Yastrzemski, Rod Carew, Mickey Mantle, Brooks Robinson and Mel Stottlemyre. These 1968 MLB All-Star Cufflinks, made by Balfour were handed out by the commissioner to important persons of influence who attended the game. Although non-gold, they show a beautiful design of a baseball at the centerpiece, with a gold colored star in the foreground, which represented the Houston Astros hosting the game. The rest of the front are in blue. The reverse of each have "Commissioner of Baseball All Star Game 1968" elevated in gold color lettering. The cufflinks are iin VG-EX condtion.
