In 1967, the Oaks became charter members of the newly organized American Basketball Association, and finished dead last in league play. The powers that be decided that they better do something fast.  They did just that.  The team signed Rick Barry and Larry Brown. They also added NBA legend, Alex Hannum as the team’s head coach.

The team answered the call by the front office and dominated through the playoffs.  They followed this up by sweeping the Indiana Pacers 4-0 in the ABA championship. The Oaks only added to their mystique by promptly folding the following year and moving to Washington D.C. Collecting enthusiasts are treated to this colorful Oaks window poster documenting the home schedule of that miraculous championship season. Presented on 11" x 17" sturdy cardstock, the piece remains in Near Mint condition.

Note: this has been stored in a shrink-wrap to keep it very well-preserved.
