Tom Seaver’s arrival in New York in 1967 marked the beginning of the Mets rise from baseball’s “loveable losers” and into the “Miracle Mets” that would win the World Series in 1969. Seaver’s first appearance on a Topps card is this late series-high number “Mets 1967 Rookie Stars” card shared with teammate Bill Denehy. Tom Terrific’s rookie card is graded a PSA VG-EX 4 and boasts bright coloring upon which the Hall of Famer’s blue marker signature pops. Seaver’s signature has been graded a perfect PSA/DNA 10, making this already tough high number rookie card a cornerstone of any signed rookie or Hall of Fame card collection.
