If not for Dallas quarterback Don Meredith's errant pass that was intercepted by the Packers' Tom Brown at the end of the 1966 NFL Championship, the Vince Lombardi Trophy of today could very well carry the name of Dallas’ well-dressed, Fedora-wearing head coach instead. In a game that pitted two former N.Y. Giants colleagues, it was Lombardi's Packers that moved on to play in the inaugural NFL-AFL Championship later to be known as Super Bowl I. Presented here is a full unused ticket from the 1966 NFL Championship game, one of the scarcest full tickets from Green Bay's 1960's dynasty. The $10.00 reserved seat ticket from the contest played at Dallas' historic Cotton Bowl on January 1, 1967, comes in the basic PSA “Authentic” slab. Only six fulls show up in the PSA registry. Other than significant horizontal creasing across the front, the colors remain strong and the edges and corners fairly sharp and straight, making it a solid candidate for a minor upgrade.
