ADDENDUM: There was a sticky residue present on the surface of the plastic encapsulation under Batman's ear. That residue has been removed and the main image for this listing has been updated.

The original Batman like you’ve never seen him before. While most of the publicity stills released by 20th Century Fox upon the Caped Crusader’s 1966 debut depicts him in comic-book colored “Swingin’ Sixties” playful scenarios, this example is radically different.  1966 would be the year for the tv show debut as well as the first Batman debut movie. Foreshadowing the more serious cinematic interpretations that began in the late 80’s and 1990s, this 1966 shot shows Adam West’s Batman at what would become the most iconic Batman pose ever.  The black and white photo uses light and shadow to evoke a dramatic gravity the way the very first movie chose not to portray. Certainly, one of the greatest photos from the first and original movie that would ultimately become arguably the greatest superhero known.  The Type 1 8” x 10” image has “BAT-10” marked on the lower right white border and “E” handwritten on the top right. The reverse is blank. Light toning throughout and minimal edge wear with absolute stunning clarity.  The image has been encapsulated and graded a Type 1 Authentic by PSA.
