1966 marked high-point of Boston’s 1960s basketball dynasty. Beginning in 1958, the Celtics completely dominated the NBA, winning eight consecutive World Championship, an accomplishment that is still the record for longest streak of consecutive championships in professional sports history. This powerful 65-66 club contained no less than seven future Hall of Famers: Bill Russell, John Havlicek, K. C. Jones, Sam Jones, Don Nelson, Satch Sanders and John Thompson. In the East Division playoffs, the Celtics beat the Cincinnati Royals 3 games to 2, then defeated a very strong 76ers team by the same score. That brought the Celtics up against the Lakers, who were beaten after seven hard-fought games. This victory capped off the Celtics unbelievable 8-season stretch of consecutive World Championships. To commemorate this unforgettable season, this 14K gold charm has an enamel Celtics clover on the top surrounded by “BOSTON CELTICS 1966 WORLD CHAMPIONS” in raised letters. The charm is in very good condition and is a very classy tribute to last of eight consecutive Celtics championships.
