Sandy Koufax is baseball royalty, with a flowing signature matching his skill and elegance on the mound. Presented here is this PSA/DNA authenticated and encapsulated Koufax autographed gem, signed on a "sweet spot" of the card, in vintage ballpoint. It's hard to top this bright Koufax example printed by Topps in 1965, when our hero won an eye popping 26 games for the Dodgers.
Provenance: Our consignor collected sports autographs in the late 1960’s through the mid-1970’s while living in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Along with getting autographs at Cincinnati Bengals training camp, Cincinnati Royals NBA games, Cincinnati Reds games and opponents Cincinnati team hotels, he was active mailing to players during these years, including their sports cards, magazine photos and index cards to be signed and returned in stamped self-addressed envelopes. While he quit collecting in the mid-1970's, he always kept his collection nearby, although sometimes packed away for long periods of time. He recently "rediscovered" his collection, and ultimately decided it was time to give his autographed treasures a second life.
