Just one of only 2 perfect MINT PSA 10's. John will forever be remembered in the realm of baseball as the first pitcher to undergo "Tommy John" surgery on his arm. This has become part of the language of baseball. Yet John was actually a very good pitcher for a very long time. He spent 21 years in the majors and compiled a 255-197 record with a low 3.19 ERA. From 1965 when he joined the White Sox until 1983 with the Angels, he won 10 or more games 16 out of 19 years. From 1977 through 1980 he was 80-35 for the Dodgers and Yankees.
