Only made available for a short period of time at Yankee Stadium concessions stands during Mantle and Maris' historic 1961 assault on Ruth's record of 60 home runs this celluloid button was the prize keepsake for the few lucky youngsters who could convince their mothers or fathers to spring for such a large and costly souvenir. The 6 in. pinback button features photos of Ruth Mantle and Maris above the proclamation "Shooting For 61 In 61." A cardboard easel attachment on the reverse allows for it to stand freely if so desired. EX-MT condition.
