In 1960, this was the card every kid wanted to find when opening a fresh pack of Topps cards. Mickey Mantle was at the very height of his career and popularity, and his friendly rivalry with teammate Roger Maris pushed The Mick to new career heights. He’d win the home run championship that year as well as hitting what is thought to be the longest homer in big league history, a 643 foot blast at Briggs Stadium in Detroit. Mantle’s 1960 Topps card is one of his most attractive ball cards, with the combination of portrait and batting pose depicting the Yankees legend in all his glory. On this example, graded a PSA GD 2, the left-right centering is less than ideal, but the colors remain strong. The highlight of this piece is The Mick’s signature on the front in bold black marker. The back has a stain near the bottom but otherwise displays nicely. The card has been graded a PSA GD 2 while the signature is graded a perfect Auto 10 by PSA/DNA.
1960 Topps #350 Mickey Mantle Autographed – PSA GD 2, PSA/DNA 10 Auto.
