The Harlem Globetrotters are an exhibition basketball team that combines athleticism, theater and comedy. Over the years they have played more than 26,000 exhibition games in 122 countries and territories. Brother Bones’ whistled version of "Sweet Georgia Brown" is the team's signature song, and their mascot is named Globie. The team plays over 450 live events worldwide every year. The Globetrotters have featured several HOFers over the years. Some of their more distinguished alumni include Wilt Chamberlain, Bob Gibson (the Baseball HOF pitcher), Goose Tatum, Marquis Haynes, Goose Tatum, Meadowlark Lemon, and countless others. Zip Brooks’ (the team trainer for many years) 1960s-‘70s Harlem Globetrotters 23” x 38” leather/vinyl-like material travel garment bag made out of leather that is well used from thousands of flights and bus rides. Red, white, and blue with the blue, red and gold silk Globetrotters’ emblem. Also, his 1970’s blue mesh Harlem Globetrotters Trainer polo shirt with “The General L” tag in the collar; 1980’s Globetrotters game worn shooting shirt of unknown player complete with “Sand Knit by MacGregor” tags sewn into the front tail with size “3MLB” tag directly beneath on this red dureen garment (blue, yellow, and white ribbing on sleeves and blue/yellow ribbing in the collar); 1980’s Harlem Globetrotters vinyl, game issued warmups made by Epstar with tag in collar of jacket and handwritten “XL” written in hand.
