An impressive head coach ring from the inaugural AFL Championship game, which featured a matchup between the Houston Oilers and the Los Angeles Chargers, in which the Oilers were victorious in a 24-16 win. Hall of Famer George Blanda led the Oilers, throwing two touchdown passes in their victory. The ring features a large blue center stone with the text "AFL CHAMPIONS" and two Houston Oilers logos surrounding it. The left shank reads "HOUSTON OILERS" and "1960" with the AFL logo. The right shank reads "L. RYMKUS" denoting the head coach's name with a Houston Oilers helmet and "AFL" below. The inner band is stamped with "BALFOUR 10K" denoting the manufacturer and its makeup. An excellent piece of hardware from the first AFL Championship.
