The 1959 USC Trojans footbal team was coached by Don Clark with the legendary coach John McKay as an assistant coach. McKay would become head coach for the 1960 season until 1975. The 1959 team would finish 8-2 and share the Athletic Association of western Universities with UCLA and Washington. This lot is a team signed ball from players and coaches from the 1959 team. In the middle of the ball is a very nice signature of John McKay in blue ball point pen that would rate a 7-8/10. Also included are the autographs of 35 other players and coaches. All of the signatures are in blue ball point pen and are very readable and would rate a 7-8/10. Other notables include Ron Mix and the McKeever twins (Marlin and Mike), who were the first twins to earn All-American status.
