Circa 1958 Harvey Kuenn Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger Professional Signature Model 016 bat game used by the Detroit Tiger, 1959 American League Batting Champion. Kuenn, a 10 time American League All-Star, led the league in hits 4 times. During the off season, after winning the batting title, he was swapped even up for American League home run king Rocky Colavito in a very controversial trade for both teams. Kuenn retired after 15 seasons with a .303 lifetime average. "016" stamped into top of knob. Faded blue marker "KUENN" also present. Bat has crack a little below center. Evidence of pine tar on the handle. Bat displays extensive game use with ball, bat rack, and cleat marks. Bat is 35 inches long and weighs 33.8 ounces. Great game used bat from one of the American League's greatest hitters of the 1950's.

12/1/94 LOA on old Washington Senators letterhead, from Scott MacDougal, who was a bat boy for the Senators at Griffith Stadium in 1958 and 1959. He obtained the Kuenn bat after it was broken during game action.
