In 1956, the New York Yankees won their 22nd American League pennant before dispatching the National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers in seven game in the Fall Classic. Managed by Casey Stengel, this Yankees team also turned in the only Perfect Game ever recorded in World Series history when right-hander Don Larsen turned the trick in Game 5. This lot features a 1956 silver-plated Yankees Christmas pitcher made of Pewter celebrating the team’s 17th championship. It stands 6.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches wide. It includes the Yankees raised team logo on the front with “CHRISTMAS 1956” engraved below it.
