The Dodgers have a strong relationship with Japanese baseball dating back to the Brooklyn days of Walter O'Malley. Manager Walter Alston led the Boys of Summer on a Tour of Japan in 1956. As a commemoration of their trip players and team officials were presented with these special albums. The album contains over 30 original black and white photos measuring 7" by 9". These photos feature all the great Dodger stars including Jackie Robinson Roy Campanella Duke Snider Pee Wee Reese and rookie Don Drysdale. The team is captured as they are arriving in Japan parading through streets touring Tokyo and on the field in-action against the Yomiuri Giants. The cover has come loose as well as a couple photos. EX condition. Second album contains photos taken by Campanis and his family. At the ball park out for a meal these are wonderful black and white shots convey the enjoyment by both the Campanis family and their Japanese hosts during the trip. LOA from Campanis Family.
