PSA GOOD 2 full unused ticket to Game 3 of the 1955 World Series between the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers played at Ebbets Field on September 30, 1955. This was the sixth World Series contested between the Yankees and Dodgers; the Yankees had won each of the five prior matchups (1941, 1947, 1949, 1952, and 1953). In Game 3, Roy Campanella's 2-run homer off Bob Turley in the 1st inning put the Dodgers up 2–0. But in the second, Mickey Mantle blasted his only home run of the series to tie the game. This was Mantle's 5th career World Series homer. That was as close as the Yankees would get, though. Johnny Podres pitched a complete game and the Dodgers cut the Yankees' series lead to 2–1. 'Dem Bums would get their sweet revenge in seven hard-fought games for their only title in Brooklyn.
The ticket is very clean on the front with smooth edges and corners. Toning around the perimeter seems to be the reason for its rather low grade. Pretty harsh in our eyes. on back. Very nice looking with no creases. Only five fulls have ever been encapsulated by PSA, and only only two are graded higher (the other two are simply "Authentic").
