The redesigned 1955 Topps set marked the first use of a horizontal format for player depictions through the entire production run – a design change coincidentally adopted by rival Bowman that same year. Unchanged by Topps was the two-image design, with every player depicted in a portrait and an action illustration, and sharing space with a colorful team logo. Each card showed the player in what appears to be a television set from that time period. This example of the great Mickey Mantle, while graded a PSA Good 2, still exemplifies beautiful coloring. It is a majestic portrayal of The Mick following through with his iconic swing.
