Following their loss to the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1955 World Series, the Yankees set out on a goodwill tour of Japan. With the exception of Phil Rizzuto, the entire team made the trip. The Bronx Bombers drew a record crowd of 64,000 when they played their first game against the All-Japan Stars in Osaka. Over the course of the 16-game tour, Andy Carey reportedly slugged 13 home runs (including three 3-HR games) and Elston Howard batted .468 as the Yanks did not lose once (15-0-1), becoming the only MLB team to go undefeated on a Japanese tour.

This unlabeled baseball, well-conditioned (NM) with little to no toning, holds 30 signatures from members of that undefeated team, including Hall of Famers Casey Stengel (SS), Yogi Berra, Bill Dickey (coach) and Whitey Ford. Others include Don Larsen, Jerry Coleman, Billy Martin, Elston Howard, Bob Turley, Bill "Moose" Skowron, Jim Konstanty, Hank Bauer, Bob Grim, Tom Morgan, Tommy Byrne, Frank Leja, Tom Sturdivant, Gil McDougald, Charlie Silvera, Ed Robinson, Bob Wiesler, Andy Carey, Tommy Byrne, Johnny Kucks and Bob Cerv. The signatures are done in wide ranging 3-7/10 blue ink.

Full LOA from PSA/DNA. "N.Y. YANKEES 1955 FAR EAST GOOD WILL TOUR TOKYO - NOV. 13, 1955" in unknown hand.
