On August 14, 1955 at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, New York, the Brooklyn Dodgers took on the Philadelphia Phillies in a double header. Between games, there was an Old Timers’ Game and the Dodgers honored some of the Greats of the game. Pictured are from Left, Happy Felt, Commissioner – Ford Frick leading the crowd in singing the song, “Auld Lang Syne”.
Left to Right are mostly Baseball Hall of Famers: Dazzy Vance, Roy Campanella, Zack Wheat, Duke Snider, Dixie Walker, Gil Hodges, Cookie Lavegetto, Pee Wee Reese, and Jackie Robinson.
