The 1955 A.L. Champion New York Yankees were managed by “The Old Perfessor” Casey Stengel and finished the season with a record of 96-58. In the World Series, they lost a seven-game slugfest to the N.L. Champion Brooklyn Dodgers. This creamy white OAL (Harridge) baseball has been signed by 27 members of the ’55 Bronx Bombers. It remains well-preserved in near-mint condition with only a few light discoloration spots. Autographs include: Yogi Berra and Phil Rizzuto sharing the sweet spot; East Panel: Billy Martin, Hank Bauer, Bill Skowron, Elston Howard, Tom Sturdivant; West Panel: Bob Turley, Charlie Silvera, John Kucks, Bob Richardson, Rip Coleman, Bob Cerv, Bob Wiesler, Andy Carey; North Panel: Tom Morgan, Gil McDougald, Ed Robinson, Bob Grim, Mickey Mantle, Tommy Byrne, Ed [“Whitey”] Ford; and South Panel: Jim Konstanty, Jerry Coleman, Joe Collins, Irv Noren and Don Larsen.
